Chinese Chili Bean Sauce
豆板醤 Doubanjiang
Doubanjiang is Chinese chili beans sauce.
It’s fermented seasoning which made of fava beans and chili.
It’s used to make Mapo tofu, Tantan noodle and twice cooked pork.
It has salty, spicy and rich taste.
If it’s aged for a long time, the red color of chili will be brown and the taste will be more mild.
